  • Why choose Pooch's Yard?

Pooch’s Yard - Doggy Day Care LTD offers a industry leading and multiple award winning doggy day care used by over 100 Poochs a week. We recently won 2nd best doggy day care in the entire UK hosted by the Dog Friendly Awards at the Kennel Club HQ in London. Our approach to dogs is that of treating them like our very own. • My dog is anxious/nervous can you help?

Of course, we actually have helped countless dogs with these issues and pride ourselves on our introduction method that ensures all dogs of all traits can integate into our day care family, we have all day to help dogs and never rush the process. It’s best to talk to our team in person so we can help in a more personalised and tailored way.

Our highly experienced team have worked with hundreds of dogs and are trained to a high level to deal with all manners of behaviours, so rest assured your pooch is in the perfect hands.

  • What age can puppies join?

We can accept puppies from the age of 12 weeks and once they have received their full vaccinations from the vet, we will need to see proof of these vaccinations upon your pups first day with us.

  • Does my dog need to be neutered to attend?

    Not at all.
We do have ‘rules’ when it comes to intact dogs and bitches but as long as your dog doesn’t cause or react aggressively we are happy to accept them into our day care. For bitches we just ask all owners to be vigilant when it comes to seasons and when a season commences we ask that you do not attend the day care for a minimum of 4-6 weeks. (Further details and help can be provided).

PLEASE NOTE - We will not accept dogs in season wearing nappies, pads etc, this is highly irresponsible dog handling and will not for a second put your dog or anyone else’s dog at risk, no matter on staffing levels these things can unfold very very quickly.

  • How does the taxi service work?

Our taxi service is there for you when you may be unable to get your dog to and from our day care, whether this be work commitments or any other reason. Pooch’s Yard uses a modern, safe and secure way to transport your dogs to day care, each dog will travel in its own secure crate within the van used by us to ensure safety whilst en route. If you aren’t home when we arrive you can leave us your key and we can access your home to collect or drop your dog off and follow any instructions you give us to your home.

Our hours of transport vary but collections start from 6:30am and the day can end as late as 8:00pm for a more accurate time please contact us, however due to the nature of roads, traffic and safety of all dogs within the van, we do not promise nor guarantee a time.
